The Leofoto LO-324C features a leveling center column, which has two very useful functions.
- Firstly, it is essentially the best-selling LS-324C, but with a center column. Center-columns will always remain a compromise in simplistic design, but they have their use and many people don't want to go without it.
- Secondly, the leveling feature is indispensable for a) panorama fans and b) video shooters. When a level panning platform is critical, a leveling feature makes using a tripod so much easier.
Locking - Both the column and the leveling feature lock with the same lever. The entire apex clamps down on the leveling ball to ensure a rock-solid lock. This is still a mid-size tripod, so we recommend a maximum gear setup of 4kg.
Accessory Mounting - On the apex you will find both a 1/4" attachment port as well as Leofoto's proprietary 3/8" anti-twist port that corresponds with their larger magic arm kits like the AM-3/4/5/6 Kit.
Over and above the center column, this tripod follows the exact same recipe that makes the Ranger so succesful. To keep this description from getting to long, we have opted rather to link to the standard LS-324C so you can compare the two and read up about what makes the standard Ranger so great.
