The Wizard is a rotating collar that attaches to your camera body, allowing you to easily switch between portrait and landscape orientation without having to remove it from your tripod head. This feature is particularly useful for landscape photographers, real estate photographers, and studio portrait photographers who need to quickly change their camera’s orientation.
Unlike traditional L-brackets, the NiSi Wizard is designed to work seamlessly with cameras that have fully articulating screens, allowing you to position your screen without any compromise. When positioned at 180 degrees, the Wizard can also be used for low-angle or macro shooting.
The NiSi Wizard features tactile indicators at 0°, 90°, and 180° to ensure that your alignment is always maintained. Additionally, the camera is mounted with the sensor positioned in the center of the Wizard, ensuring that the center point of your image is always maintained. It features a rubber ring on the inside of the Wizard to ensure lenses are always protected.
The Wizard is constructed from aircraft-grade aluminum alloy, making it both rugged and lightweight. The mounting foot is Arca-Swiss compatible, providing wide-range compatibility with most tripod heads and clamps on the market. It also features a 1/4″ mount so any quick release plate can be attached, making it compatible with almost every tripod.
The outer diameter of the lens mount must be smaller than the inner diameter of the WIZARD. The inner diameter of the NiSi Wizard W-63 63mm – lenses with a larger outer mount diameter than 63mm cannot be mounted and may require the W-72. To check lens compatibility, measure around the lens near the lens mount to ensure it’s less than 63mm.
Some lenses have a switch or button on the side, if the switch button is close to the camera (within 2cm), it may be covered by the camera bracket. If the focus ring/zoom ring on some lenses is very close to the camera adapter (within 2cm) and may be covered. Using battery grips or cameras with built-in battery grips are NOT compatible. Medium format cameras like the Fujifilm GFX are NOT compatible. The space between the fingers and the camera grip can be reduced, it is recommended for most models to be used on a tripod. Lenses with an external USB-C port near the camera mount are not compatible with the W-63 including Tamron 28-75mm.
It’s advisable to use the original tripod collar that comes with a lens when working with a long lens that exceeds 200mm or weighs more than 1kg, as it will provide a more stable shooting experience.
The NiSi Wizard is available in four sizes:
W-82D for DSLR
W-82M for Mirrorless Cameras – Canon R Series
W-72 for Mirrorless Cameras – Fujifilm X Series, Leica SL Series, Nikon Z Series, Olympus/OM, and Panasonic.

We have a no-nonsense approach. If a product breaks due to a manufacturer defect, we will replace it without asking any questions. If we have any reason to believe that the product was put through unreasonably heavy usage, we will have to follow the manufacturer's standard warranty procedure.
Leofoto
The manufacturer offers a 10-year limited warranty on all products and we extend that warranty to our customers. Please read the below very carefully, so you understand your position when something breaks or doesn’t work ideally anymore.
It is critical to understand that this warranty only applies to factory faults and not to standard wear and tear. Tripods are subject to a lot of gray areas in this regard as tripods used outdoors, particularly in sand and sea water, are subjected to extreme wear and tear. We will e.g. replace the affected part of your tripod if a carbon tube snaps or cracks without much pressure applied to it or if the apex breaks. We will not replace your tripod or the affected part if e.g. a joint locks up due to sand or salt build up or if a hinge becomes corroded or stiff/floppy and unserviceable due to corrosion or salt build up.
In sum, if we see that you took good care of your tripod and something went wrong, we will go out of our way to fix or replace it for you. If we see that you dragged it through the mud (literally or metaphorically), then we are unlikely to fix/replace it for you. How you handle your tripod and take care of it, is all the difference between 3- or 20 years of service.
The best of tripods will not last longer than 2/3 years if used regularly in the sea, INCORRECTLY, and never serviced. Always make sure to extend the lowest leg section first, so you keep the joints out of the water/sand. Always rinse with freshwater after use in the sea, wipe down with a wet cloth, leave extended to dry and ENSURE YOU KEEP THE HEAD AND APEX DRY. If your tripod’s joints start feeling sandy/gritty, open them up, give them a proper clean and lubrication and fine-tune the tension on the joints.
If travelling on dirt roads, ensure that your tripod is in its carry-bag when not in use.
Your tripod will not take care of itself – it is up to you to do so. All our tripods ship with an info-sheet on taking care of your tripod. We also offer a full tripod disassembly and service for R1000, including shipping both ways.
