This tripod kit is ideal for photographers looking for a general-purpose tripod that deploys quickly, is travel friendly and offers solid support. The LS-285C + LH-30 is the ideal support lightweight support system for compact, APS-C and lightweight full frame camera systems.

The new Pro version of Leofoto's Ranger represents the evolution of their best selling tripods. Available in many different sizes, this range has become a global go-to as the best combination of quality and value on the market. The Rangers combine simple design with precise engineering and premium materials.

Since our start with Leofoto in 2019, we have sold over 1000 Rangers in South Africa. The feedback is always excellent and the failure rate is extremely low - below 0.1%. When anything does fail, we have the spares and warranty support to sort it out immediately.

So what's the new in the Pro Rangers?

1. Lever Release comes Standard - The 324 Pro and 325 Pro ship with the LH-40LR, which has a lever release clamp as opposed to a screw-clamp. This is usually a R1000 upgrade and just works much better and faster than the standard screw clamp.
2. New higher density carbon fiber weave - the "mountain pattern" carbon offers better rigidity, vibration absorption and load rating. It also looks amazing.
3. Poseidon Joints - Leofoto combined several new technologies to make the best possible connection between leg sections. The first is the material the joint body is made from - a plastic-metal composite. The first key aspect to this material is a better strength to weight ratio than the highest density plastic while avoiding the extreme cost of finely machined alloys. The second is extremely fine tolerances between interconnecting parts - the new joints lock together much better. Other features include a gland at the bottom and an o-ring at the top to keep out dirt. These joints lock together so well that Leofoto have had to introduce a valve at the top of the leg for the entry and exit of air when collapsing/extending a leg. All of this results in improved rigidity, load support, reduced torsion flex and a longer lifespan.
4. Improved Apex design - The new apex features a 3rd position on the leg hinges that was requested by so many users. This offers several new height positions when opening the legs. There has also been a change to the ergonomics of the tabs that release the hinges.
5. LS-325 Pro is a custom model unique to SA. Leofoto only makes the LS-324C pro - we wanted a LS-325C pro as well as it folds down shorter and the new joints and carbon combine to offer unparalleled rigidity for a 32mm 5-section tripod.
6. If you google the LS-324C Pro and look at listings in other countries, you'll see that the standard Poseidon joints are silver and black, but have ordered ours all-black, which looks a lot better.
