A lightweight aluminium baby stand: 2.9m max reach and 10kg payload, with the stand itself at just 2.2kg. Two risers, three sections, black anodised.
The stand top is a 16mm (5/8") baby receiver — the socket a lighting fixture drops into — fitted with a detachable KS-017 Universal Adapter Spigot. Because the stud lifts out, the receiver takes a fixture's own spigot directly, and the KS-017 itself carries 3/8"-16 and 1/4"-20 male threads for cameras, monitors and small accessories.
A 109cm footprint on a 2.2kg stand, wide enough to carry a large softbox without pulling to one side. Dual leg struts, assembled with nuts and bolts rather than rivets so tension can be adjusted and parts serviced. A nylon lobe knob on a stainless steel bolt, a stainless heli-coil insert in the die-cast riser so the threaded hole cannot strip, an oversized brake shoe for a positive lock-off, and padded feet to protect both the legs and the floor.
