A heavy-duty baby stand in chrome-plated steel: three risers, with a 4m max reach and 13kg payload, while the stand weighs 6.5kg. The stand top is a 16mm (5/8") baby stud — the smaller of the two standard studio fittings — welded to the top riser rather than pinned in place, which keeps it rigid under load.
Double leg struts brace the base. The die-cast riser carries a stainless steel heli-coil insert so the threaded hole cannot strip, the knobs are cast aluminium on stainless bolts, and an oversized brake shoe locks each section off positively. Padded feet protect both the legs and the floor.
Optional KC-080R casters turn it into a rolling stand, for moving a fixture without breaking the setup down.
