The term "External Spectral Transmittance on Optical Axis" refers to the measurement of light transmission through the filters at different colors of light, which are represented by wavelengths in nanometers (nm) – from 400 nm (near-ultraviolet) to 900 nm (near-infrared).
The horizontal axis (from left to right) shows the wavelength of light in nanometers. The vertical axis (going from top to bottom) shows the optical attenuation in T-Stops, which is a way to measure the reduction of light.
