A circular polarising filter (CPL) is an essential part of any landscape photographer’s kit. In short, a polariser prevents damaged reflected light from reaching your sensor. When used correctly, CPLs beautifully saturate and add contrast to your images; they turn pale skies a deeper blue, coax vibrant rich greens from foliage and forests, make rainbows pop, and cut reflections off the surface of water.
