The NiSi Cinema Explosion-Proof Protective Filter is a clear filter that is coated on both sides with a shatterproof film to hold all broken glass together in the event of an object striking hard enough to break the glass. It is designed to protect your lens from foreign objects flying around or from accidental contact with stationary objects within a scene.

The shatterproof film is colour neutral and protects your lens with no loss of sharpness!  The lens grade optical glass filter is also equipped with the patented NiSi nano-coating, which prevents reflections and glare.

Their IRND’s, Rotating Polarisers and Mist Filters have been in use on sets across the globe for multiple years now with nothing but positive feedback. Our experience here in SA has been the same, with plenty of sales to production and gear houses and only great feedback.

Availability & delivery times

Demand for cinema filters is extremely sporadic. We typically carry two full sets of IRND’s, two full sets of Black Mist, multiple rotating CPLs and one full set of grads. Unlike the stills filters which sell at a steady pace and makes it easy to manage stock, it is common for our entire shelf of cinema filters to be purchased unexpectedly for a large production or a gear house replenishing their fleet.
